08/10/20: National Situational Update on COVID-19 – MoH

National Situational Update on COVID-19 (data as of 7th October 2020)

Four new cases detected over the last 24 hours.

All 4 are men and incoming travelers. 3 are expatriate workers aged 25 to 31, where 2 are quarantined in Phuntsholing and 1 in Paro. The fourth is a 31-year-old Bhutanese man quarantined at Phuntsholing. All of them will be moved to the isolation later today.

2 others are being declared recovered.

DEFINITIONS:

a. Confirmed: number of people who have tested positive through COVID-19 tests.

b. Active: number of people who are currently in the isolation facilities because they are still COVID-19 positive.

c. *Recovered: number of people who have tested negative on COVID-19 test and declared as recovered. Those who test negative twice over a 24 hour period are kept under 14 days of observation in a quarantine facility.
