09/01/21: Renewal and Late Fees for vehicles deferred due to Lockdown 2.0 – RSTA

This is to notify the general public that due to the COVID-19 2nd Nationwide Lockdown, renewal and late fee for the following services have been deferred starting from 20th December 2020 until the lockdown is lifted in all the dzongkhags including Thimphu and Paro:

a. Renewal of vehicle registration certificate

b. Renewal of road worthiness certificate

c. Renewal of driving license

d. Vehicle ownership transfer

e. New vehicle registration

However, the exemption shall not be granted for payment of fines and penalties of Transport Infringement Notice (TIN) issued for violation of traffic rules and regulations. Fines and penalties for TIN are payable online and all are encouraged to make timely payment.
