11/08/20: Notification on Dzongkhag Focal Points for Essential Stock – MoEA

Following the announcement on nationwide lockdown, the Ministry of Economic Affairs would like to inform the general public that we have adequate stock of essentials items in the country (rice, oil, pulses, sugar, milk powder, salt, toiletries, etc) to last for another 6 months.

We, therefore, urge not to rush and panic buy during this time, instead provide full cooperation to support the Ministry of Health in their effort to trace contacts and assess the impact of the recent incident within the shortest time possible. The Ministry of Economic Affairs would also like to assure that all 20 dzongkhags have their required stocks as far as at gewog level.

The respective dzongkhags have their own Standard Operating Procedures (SoP) for distribution of essential items. We are sharing the contact details of focal officials of all Dzongkhags for kind information of the general public.
